Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience.
  • 4 years of experience with XR developer ecosystem.
  • Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C , Python).
  • Experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:
  • 4 years of experience in XR development based on OpenXR, Unity, Unreal or custom engines.
  • Experience with scripting and tooling in Android development environments such as Renderdoc, Perfetto, Frame Pacing API, SurfaceFlinger, GFXReconstruct and Android GPU Inspector.
  • Knowledge with Rendering and GPU pipeline such as OpenGL ES, Vulkan, Metal, or DirectX.
  • Ability to advocate XR initiatives with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.
You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.
In this role, you will empower XR developers to create the best XR experience with OpenXR and Android libraries, tools, and Play services. You will establish and maintain technical relationships with XR developers who have meaning to Google's business. You will provide the engineering consultation and guidance to game partner companies in using Google's technologies and bring back their feedback to improve them. Responsibilities
  • Provide deep technical engagement (e.g., code analysis and contribution) for showcase product integrations and resolution of launch blockers.
  • Engage external developers on Product/Tool adoption on Android/Play, and funnel critical feedback regarding quality, tools/platform bugs.
  • Provide white-glove engagement for the key Android XR tentpole content partnerships.
  • Creating content (e.g., code samples, codelabs, documentation, video, blogs, case studies).
  • Advocate on the latest and greatest Products at events globally (e.g., Android XR Bootcamps, onboarding sessions).
