Job description

Job Summary:

The Senior Technical Editor will support writing, editing, and managing technical documentation and supervise tech editor personnel.

Essential Responsibilities:

Will support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, for writing, editing, and managing E3 technical documents such as HERO, HERP, and HERF reports; and RADHAZ assessment reports; EMV Analyses; HERO analyses, and MIL-STD-461G analyses, test reports, and test plans.

Minimum Requirements:

* Eight (8) years of experience in writing, editing and managing technical documentation.

* Four (4) years specialized E3 composition experience with competence in classified document marking, handling, and tracking.

* Must be able to obtain and maintain Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Management experience of a small group of professional tech writers, including assigning and managing weekly/daily taskings.

Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.

Compensation Details:

US: $30.77 - $38.00
