Job description

Psychiatrist - Outpatient

Compensation: $275,000 – $340,000 per year

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent | Monday - Friday | Weekend/Holiday Rounding 1:8 or better

Location: East Chicago, IN

This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to design your practice around your professional goals within a premier, tech-forward environment, distinguished as one of the few HIMSS Stage VII facilities in the country.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic interviews and mental status examinations, to develop individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, evaluating efficacy and side effects to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Utilize psychotherapeutic methods in conjunction with pharmacological treatments to manage acute and chronic mental health conditions
  • Partner with primary care, social work, and nursing teams to provide integrated behavioral health support across clinical settings
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EHR) and participate in clinical quality reviews to enhance patient safety and care standards
Requirements:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) with a clear plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Indiana Medical License and CSR/DEA registration
  • Experience with or aptitude for utilizing EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
