About the role
Mercer is hiring a Lead Consultant, Workday Talent to join our Digital Transformation team. In this role, you will lead the delivery of Workday Talent solutions for clients, partnering closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize scalable solutions.
As part of Mercer, a Marsh business and one of the world's leading HR consulting firms, our Digital Transformation practice is a certified Workday implementation and innovation partner. We help clients transform their organizations through deep expertise across Workday HCM, Payroll, Finance, data conversion, strategic transformation, and change management.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Workday Talent consultant who enjoys owning delivery, solving complex client challenges, and contributing to broader practice growth through thought leadership and solutioning.
What you'll do
- Lead the delivery of the Workday Talent workstream across a variety of client engagements, including initial implementations and phase X programs
- Translate client requirements into practical, scalable Workday solutions aligned to best practices
- Serve as a subject matter expert for complex client questions, issues, and design decisions
- Partner with cross-functional domain leads to deliver an integrated client solution
- Maintain clear workstream plans, forecasts, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication
- Support solution architecture, scoping, client presentations, and demonstrations as part of sales and delivery efforts
- Create and share intellectual property such as enablement materials, best practice guides, and knowledge-sharing content
What we're looking for
- Active Workday certification in Talent and Performance
- 5+ years of experience as a certified Workday consultant
- 3+ years of experience leading Workday Talent implementations as a lead consultant or subject matter expert
- Strong knowledge of Workday architecture, security, and implementation best practices
- Proven success in client-facing consulting environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Additional Workday certifications such as Learning, Recruiting, or Advanced Compensation
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior consultants
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or another language
