Job description

Workday Data Conversion Lead

Duration: 12 months with very strong possibility of extension. This is a multi-year project.

Location: Fully remote. Client based in Woonsocket, RI (Eastern time)

Apex Systems is working with a national pharmaceutical retail client to support a Workday HCM implementation. We are looking for a Workday Data Conversion Lead who can design and carry out a data conversion process with the client’s implementation partner. Process design, data manipulation, and data cleansing skills and experience are imperative for success in this role.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to drive development of data extracts to feed into the Workday data conversion process.
  • Strong data manipulation skills. The ability to take raw data and format it to specific file requirements through tools like Excel and/or Access.
  • Experience with data compare tools such as Beyond Compare to perform data validation comparisons after the data is loaded to Workday.
  • Coordinate functional data validation activities with functional project leads.
  • Create data validation progress reports.
  • Maintain conversion status reports with project PMO.
  • Project management skills to document and manage data conversion tasks.
  • Provide data conversion files to system implementation partner to feed into the partner’s Workday Conversion Tool.

Requirements:

  • Workday data validation – build automated validation process
  • Functional data validation
  • Experience leading the data migration and conversion effort – schedule meetings, design and vet data conversion business process using best practices, liaise with implementation partner to ensure all parties are on the same page, etc
  • Coordinate the data – work with Downstream system track down missing details
  • Structure when info dumps come along
  • Building automated files
  • Data manipulation and cleansing
