Job description

Receptionist - Naperville Center, SC1NAPERSCNTRS (SU26)
Student Worker Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide reception and assistance to students, faculty, staff, and community residents.
  • Support day-to-day activities of the Center facilities.
  • Greet students and public, answer phones, provide word processing, mail services, and general office assistance.
  • Provide information regarding College programs, procedures and processes.
  • Light cleaning and assistance in keeping facilities neat and orderly.
  • Maintain friendly, welcoming attitude.

  • Qualifications:
    • Education
      • THIS IS A STUDENT JOB.
      • High school diploma or equivalent.
      • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
      • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
      • If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
      • If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
    • Experience
      • Proficiency in written and spoken English required.
      • Previous customer service experience required.
    • Licenses and Certifications
    • COD Training

    Working Conditions:
  • Computer, telephone, fax, copier, AV equipment in classrooms.
  • Must be able to rotate duties between regional locations if applicable.
  • Must be enrolled in the current semester for at least 6 semester hours.
  • Federal Work Study Program preferred.
  • This student position requires the following test/tests: Background Check.

  • Pay Rate: Student Rate 1 - $15.00 per hour
