TRANSITION ACADEMY WORK-BASED LEARNING
MARKETING AND DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
Reports To: Marketing and Development Director and Job Status: Non- Exempt
WBL Coordinator
DAYS/HOURS OF JOB: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and or Sunday (Quarter 1 and Quarter 2)
** shift times before 9:00am or after 4:30pm discretion of WBL employer needs
Shift 1: 9:00am- 1:00pm Shift 2: 1:00pm-4:30pm Duration: 4 weeks -12 weeks
Job Summary:
Marketing Assistant responsibilities include assisting in organizing campaigns, grant writing and developing marketing strategies. This work will be a critical factor for the smooth operation of the Marketing department and the attainment of its goals, as well as for the long-term growth of the company.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the marketing manager/coordinator, internal teams, clients and partners on marketing strategy.
  • Help identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation.
  • Assist the grant writing department.
  • Learn and work with various types of software for digital marketing and graphic designing.
  • Work closely with development and marketing.
  • Learn and help create marketing materials such as white papers, case studies, and presentations.
  • Help develop and assist with delivering presentations.
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing and sales team.
  • Preparing, formatting, and editing a range of documents.
  • Understanding company product and brand.
  • Helping create and interpret a variety of documents/reports.
  • Organize market research.
  • Learn how to analyze questionnaires and other forms of feedback.
  • General office duties as assigned.
  • Attend donor meetings and events.

This position allows the student to practice the skills they learned in their pre-requisite/core classes and year 1 classes, exploring career opportunities in the occupational field of Marketing and Development.
The student will complete an application and will interview the manager of the assigned work-based learning site (marketing and development).

Additional Requirements
  • Maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Criminal arrest check will be done through the OSBI; Per Section 1025.1 et seq. Of Title 56 of the Oklahoma statues, House Bill 1790, any prospective employee with a felony or misdemeanor conviction, guilty plea or plea of nolo contendere will not be eligible for employment. This prohibition may be disregarded if an appropriate waiver is obtained from the Office of the Director, DDSD, Department of Human Services, or his/her designees.
  • Community Services Registry check (House Bill 1790) will be done through DDSD, Department of Human Services. The person whose name appears on the registry cannot work for A New Leaf.
