Job description

The Branch Area Careers Center (BACC) is located in Coldwater, Michigan, and provides career and technical education opportunities to over 500 students per year.  The BACC works closely with community and business partners to provide career and college readiness opportunities for secondary students and to provide a workforce for continued economic growth in Branch County.

Requirements:

  1. Qualification requirements which the Para Professional must possess:
    1. Education and/or certification:
    2. High School Diploma
    3. ETS - Paraprofessional Certification or Associates Degree in Education or related field preferred.
  2. Experience Required:
    1. Two years with appropriate experience

Duties:

  1. Prepare and organize equipment, material, and supplies for student learning.
  2. Assist students who are having difficulty in achieving educational goals.
  3. Assist Teacher with demonstrations in the classroom and supervise during field experiences.
  4. Assist with planning and organization of field trips and work based learning opportunities.
  5. Assist Teacher with upholding classroom rules and expectations.
  6. Assist Teacher with evaluation of student progress and employability skills.
  7. Assist with the implementation of students' individualized plans.
  8. Assist with ordering process including completion of requisitions and supply purchases.
  9. Support teacher with record keeping and state reporting.
  10. Support teachers with CTSO planning, enrollment, and supervision.
  11. Other duties as assigned.
