Job description

Job Title:         Manufacturing Assembly Technician

Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company

Duration:         2 Years contract with possible Extension

Location:         St. Paul, MN 55114

Shift:                1st Shift, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
 

Job Description:

Seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Technician to build, integrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical assemblies used in drone-based agricultural sensors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly, box build, and cable/wire assembly
  • Perform soldering, CCA programming, and system checkout/testing
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and repair equipment and products
  • Perform optical assembly, alignment, and focusing
  • Document test results and production activities
  • Support production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders
  • Work with Engineering on design updates, process improvements, and defect reduction
  • Support technical documentation and transition of designs to production
  • Help ensure quality and defect-free production

Required Skills:

  • Electro-mechanical assembly
  • Cable making, soldering, or box build
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Ability to read drawings and technical instructions
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Qualifications:

  • 2-year technical degree in Electronics or related field preferred
  • Candidates without a degree may qualify with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to interpret drawings, requirements, and work instructions
  • Part 107 certification required within 3 months
  • PTC Creo/3D CAD experience is a plus

Work Environment:

  • Approximately 30% on feet
