Position Overview

The role of the Kitchen Steward is to support the restaurant Chef in dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchens and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash dishes, pots, and small wares in a safe, efficient and timely manner
  • Properly store and handle glassware, china, and silverware, etc. to prevent breakage
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas
  • Remove trash in kitchen and outside areas and place in appropriate containers as specified by Company policy and procedures.
  • Know how to use and apply all chemicals in a safe manner.
  • Assist the kitchen Chef in the preparation of food when asked.
  • Assist the Chef in receiving deliveries of food and food related products.
  • Report any misuse or breakage of glassware and china, etc.
  • Weekday/Nights a must
  • Holidays and weekends REQUIRED

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and quality standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the shift
  • Professional demeanor and positive, service-focused attitude
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
