Job description

ProTech seeks a Network Administrator for an onsite direct hire position in either Searcy, AR or Memphis with trips to Searcy.
Summary for Network Administrator:
The Network Administrator supports the health and operation of the network (hardware and software), computers, printers and devices attached to this network. They manage all file servers used to support and operate client applications as well as 3rd party applications. They are responsible for maintenance of all standards & compliancy. They will perform related tasks as they relate to the network systems at client and assume responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and reliability of this network.
Essential Functions for Network Administrator:

  • Lead integration and adoption of cloud-based applications and systems for company:
    • Authentication with Azure
    • Adoption of Microsoft Teams beyond video conferencing
    • Migration from file shares to Teams and files
    • Migration to Azure based network file servers
    • Integration of conference rooms into Teams
    • Distribution of software and standards for workstations using Microsoft tools
    • Group Policy elements to support migration
    • Possible email migration from on prem to cloud based
  • Network administration (including backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems including e-mail web server, internet access, office systems and applications support).
  • Provide support to Employees and Helpdesk Personnel with problems relating to computers, network systems, printers and other devices connected to the network
  • Manage computer requirements, providing improvement recommendations as to best fit and function
  • Manage all servers, keeping them up to date with security and other patches as well as monitor and maintain a healthy storage system
  • Implement and maintain change management systems for all servers, applications and systems
  • Maintain documentation as necessary for all network systems
  • Perform hands-on review of network environments, including network device and server configurations
  • Keep aware of new server and application technologies and developments in the industry and provide recommendations as necessary when these new tools apply
  • Serve as after-hours on-call support as assigned
  • Evaluate and modify system's performance
  • Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
  • Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
  • Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.

Education and Experience for Network Administrator:

  • Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years’ work experience directly related to a Microsoft Windows Server environment
