Job description

The Windows and Doors Specialist is a key inside sales role focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience and driving sales within the branch and over the phone. This role requires specialized product knowledge to assist customers with window and door solutions, including performing takeoffs, preparing quotes, and working with vendors to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer needs.

The Windows and Doors Specialist reports to the Branch Operations Manager and has no direct reports.

Windows and Doors Specialist Key Responsibilities:

  • Live our mission statement and TRUEBLUE Values.
  • Assist customers with product selection, orders, and special requests, ensuring solutions align with their project needs.
  • Perform accurate takeoffs to determine material needs, ensuring precise estimates for customers
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key window and door vendors, coordinating contract visits and staying updated on product offerings
  • Utilize vendor-specific software to create quotes, track orders, and
  • provide product information
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
  • Maintain a neat and orderly counter and showroom area
  • Coordinate with the outside sales team to support customer needs and manage sample and literature requests
  • Stay informed on industry trends, product innovations, and best practices to better assist customers
  • Support order fulfillment by occasionally assisting with warehouse tasks such as pulling orders or checking inventory
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Branch Operations Manager

Windows and Doors Specialist Qualifications:

    • Experience in construction sales or actual residential construction / home building.
    • Ability to interpret blueprints and perform takeoffs with accuracy and minimal direction.
    • Proficiency with vendor-specific software (or willingness to learn) for quoting and order management.
    • Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain technical details to customers.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced sales environment.
