Job Summary:
Join a 70-year tradition of excellence at Leon Farmer and Company in Athens, GA! We are hiring a driven and safety-conscious Pre-Sales Representative to grow and service retail accounts across Northeast Georgia.
This role requires a driven and safety-conscious Route Pre-sales Representative to manage, grow, and service retail accounts along an assigned itinerary. The position focuses on maximizing sales, ensuring optimal inventory levels, developing targeting marketing strategies, and providing exceptional customer service while driving safely and strictly adhering to all legal and company policies.
Essential Functions:
  • Order appropriate product quantities for retail accounts, ensuring that product distribution targets set by
the company are maintained. Maximize the total sales and profitability of each retail account
through knowledge of the gross profit per package and placing emphasis on higher margin products.
  • Provide excellent customer service to the retail accounts and enhance future sales prospects quickly.

  • Develop a marketing strategy to identify additional sales opportunities by analyzing historical, current,
and future account/industry trends and creating selling strategies. Prepare sales presentations as needed.
  • Conduct on-site sales calls with retailers, utilizing sales tablets/CRM software and the route itinerary established by the company, addressing the following areas with the retailer and/or company. Additionally, monitor the competitor’s activities by discussing exceptional situations with appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Prepare daily sales reports for the next delivery day, utilizing the sales tablet/CRM software.
  • Document trade marketing execution, and other sales accomplishments as required by management.
  • Ensure compliance with all company/retailer safety policies and procedures. Practice good/safe driving
habits daily, paying attention to parking, backing up, breaking down, and obeying posted speed limits and
warning signs. In the event of an accident, remain at the scene, obtain an accident report, and notify the
shop immediately.
  • Ensure that you adhere to the rules, policies, and procedures established by the departments and
company. Additionally, adhere to all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to the sale of beer.
  • Assist/fill in for any team member during peak workloads and absenteeism
  • Assist with special projects as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities which occur daily
basis as well as those which might be assigned.
  • Perform special projects as assigned. Participating in Process Improvement Teams and committees as
requested.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • 2-3 years of outside sales experience or a Business Management Degree.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy packages and goods up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work during holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain an Alcohol Permit.
  • Bilingual a plus
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of walking and driving.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
