Job description

REPORTS TO: Premium Window & Door Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Premium Window & Door Specialist is responsible for the sales, procurement, service, and marketing of premium window and door product lines sold by Talbert. The primary brand focus is Marvin. The position will support the Triad area Talbert branches of Asheboro, Clemmons, and Danville, working closely with the Talbert team, vendors, and customers to consistently deliver the Talbert Difference and grow Talbert's premium window and door business.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with contractors, homeowners, architects, and Talbert sales representatives to determine window and exterior door requirements.
  • Explain the features and benefits of premium window and door options.
  • Prepare take-offs based on architectural drawings.
  • Generate accurate and timely quotes and orders.
  • Ensure that customers sign off on special orders before issuing vendor purchase orders.
  • Review quotes, orders, purchase orders, vendor confirmations, and all other process documents that require precision.
  • Monitor quotes, open orders, specials waiting for stock, backorders, scheduled deliveries, and all outstanding work to ensure timely resolutions and excellent customer service.
  • Communicate with customers and team members to verify that expectations are clear and aligned.
  • Share manufacturer installation instructions with contractors and installers.
  • Manage warranty and service requests promptly.
  • Consult with Talbert Installed Sales to facilitate installations and service requests.
  • Maintain a current and extensive knowledge base of product offerings.
  • Keep literature and displays in showrooms current with the most up-to-date products and information.
  • Participate in training seminars and required meetings.
  • Answer sales and internal calls with a positive attitude and a willingness to assist.
