Position Description

The Senior Wellness Manager supports Applied Medical team members with developing, implementing, coordinating and managing company wellness programs and initiatives dedicated to making a meaningful, positive difference to our team members. This role requires on-site attendance to support team members across the organization. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Company’s Wellness program, driving growth, engagement, and overall success.
  • Partner with the Wellness Team to deliver exceptional wellness experiences through facilities, programs, classes, events, and communications.
  • Evaluate, enhance, and expand wellness and fitness offerings while staying current on industry trends and maintaining required continuing education.
  • Oversee daily operations of wellness facilities, programs, sports leagues, clubs, and the AppliedRide program, ensuring safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage the wellness budget, expenses, vendors, and program resources effectively.
  • Lead, hire, train, coach, and develop the Wellness team, including performance feedback and reviews.
  • Plan and execute wellness-focused initiatives, webinars, lectures, and events that engage and support Team Members.
  • Maintain a strong Team Member experience by actively gathering feedback, addressing concerns, and providing solutions.
  • Instruct fitness classes and provide hands-on operational support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Systems, safety rules, and Company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support departmental and organizational goals.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Nutrition or other similar filed.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, able to manage multiple priorities independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the health and wellness industry, with knowledge of best practices, emerging trends, and a hands-on background in customer service and relationship-building.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who leads by example and maintains the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Visionary, people-focused leader with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to inspire, influence, and develop high-performing, collaborative teams.
  • Technologically proficient, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Brings a positive, solutions-oriented mindset, professional demeanor, and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service in all situations.
  • May need to work weekends, evenings and travel as required.
  • Must be flexible and willing to learn other duties as required.

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

  • Holds a master’s degree in health and wellness or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of management experience, senior level management experience.
  • Passion for wellness, hospitality and customer service.
