Job Title: Soldering Technician

Job Description

This role focuses on precision soldering and electronic assembly work on printed circuit boards in a clean, climate-controlled environment. You will follow established procedures, complete classroom training, and demonstrate strong soldering skills, including work under a microscope, while supporting a 9/80 schedule with the option of first or second shift.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality soldering on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using established standards and procedures.
  • Conduct daily soldering tasks under a microscope to ensure accuracy and precision on small components.
  • Assemble electronic components, including through-hole and surface mount (SMT) parts, onto PCBs.
  • Use basic computer skills to follow work instructions, document work performed, and access training materials.
  • Participate in and successfully complete classroom training related to soldering techniques, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Demonstrate soldering workmanship skills during an onsite solder test as part of the selection process.
  • Work effectively within a 9/80 schedule, adhering to assigned first or second shift hours and attendance expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in a climate-controlled environment, following all safety and quality guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain consistent product quality.

Second shift hours are Monday to Thursday from 3:15 PM to 12:45 AM, with worked Fridays from 2:15 PM to 10:45 PM, and a 15% shift premium applies to second shift. The environment includes the use of microscopes, soldering equipment, and standard electronic assembly tools, with an emphasis on comfort, cleanliness, and consistent working conditions.
