Inside a high-performing diagnostic imaging service, the Weekend Radiology Technologist will contribute across radiology imaging and diagnostic imaging functions where the facility operates as a modern, full-service hospital dedicated to the health and well-being of the Middle Keys; the Imaging Technologist will support a 24/7 Emergency Department with an on-site helipad for rapid transport, collaborate with surgical care and orthopedic services alongside physical therapy and rehabilitation teams, and deliver advanced diagnostic imaging-including MRI, CT scans, and 3D mammography-while patients also benefit from outpatient cancer infusion therapy guided by a multidisciplinary oncology team, all within a community-centered environment that has proudly served its region for decades.
Reporting to an Imaging Manager and collaborating closely with board-certified radiologists, the Weekend Radiology Technologist joins a friendly cadre of nurses and a diverse, interdisciplinary care team that includes ED clinicians, OR staff, therapists, and oncology specialists; as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, core responsibilities span safe, compassionate patient positioning, high-quality radiographic imaging, potential CT and MRI performance or cross-training, contrast administration per protocol, radiation safety and dose optimization, QC/QA and PACS accuracy, adherence to ACR-aligned standards, and clear communication that keeps patient flow smooth and satisfaction high-supported by strong precepting, responsive leadership, and a Just Culture of safety.
