Job description

Radiology Pacs Technician

Shift: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with call rotation required.

Work Arrangement: On-Site Department: Radiology - PACS

Facility: University Hospital โ€“ 1 Hospital Drive, Columbia, MO

Compensation:

ยท Base Pay Range: $30.66 - $50.01 per hour, based on experience

ยท Shift Differentials: Additional $3.00 per hour for call shift

Detailed Job Description

ยท Assist the PACS Manager with database maintenance and support, using in-depth knowledge of the system's function and flow. Generate and maintain technical diagrams and configuration settings. Assist with defining PACS policies and procedures. Review and analyze end-user feedback, compile data, and recommend procedural and educational changes as appropriate.

ยท Participate in new equipment installation planning to ensure information systems are properly configured and integrated to support accurate data exchange and system functionality. Identify opportunities to enhance system performance and service delivery. Troubleshoot issues to assist in preventing delays in patient care or the delivery of their results to the provider. May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents.

Required Qualifications

ยท Associate's degree in bioscience, computer science, radiology science, information systems, business, or a related field.

ยท One (1) year of experience in Diagnostic X-Ray, CT, MRI, IR, or other imaging modality. IT certification in Microsoft (Azure, DevOps, Power), Project Management (ITIL, Six Sigma), Comp TIA, or another related certification, may be considered in lieu of imaging experience.

Preferred Qualifications

ยท Bachelor's degree in bioscience, computer science, radiology science, information systems, business, or a related field. Experience with 3D software or multi-planar reformatting. Advanced imaging specialty registration by the ARRT, ARDMS, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ACRRT. Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) by the American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII).

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and may require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs and occasionally move objects up to 25 lbs. This role may also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
