Position: Radiology Diagnostic Technologist

Location: Richmond, VA

Shifts Available:ย Variable

Status: Full Time / Permanent

We are seeking an experienced radiologic technologist to perform imaging in a fast paced hospital setting. Under the direction of healthcare provider, the Radiology Tech performs professional duties involved in a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for Radiologic diagnosis, with latitude for independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative.


Responsibilities:

Radiology Technologist that will be responsible for coordinating and performing of radiologic scans for diagnostic purposes and for providing patient services using applicable imaging modalities

  • Explain procedures to patients in laypersonโ€™s terms and confirm patient understanding.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety for the duration of the appointment
  • Prepare, position, and immobilize patients before conducting scans.
  • Perform radiologic tests to obtain clear and correct body scans.
  • Perform highly complex examinations and general diagnostic procedures.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures.
  • Follow all radiological safety procedures and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Must have and maintain current licensure as a Diagnostic Radiological Technologist in the state of practice
  • Must have ARRT Certification in Radiography or obtain within 6 months of hire date
  • One (1) year experience as a Radiological Technologist



Education, Certification & Experience

Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT), BLS


IV Certification (preferred)
