Job description

Tired of working inside the confinement of the four walls of a Radiology Department? Here is your chance to break free! Exciting Opportunity to work with a great team as a Mobile Radiologic/Xray Technologist in the Lafayette area OUTSIDE the four walls of a clinic or hospital. Everyone always gets scared when they hear "mobile x-ray" until they actually try it. Unsure or on the fence because its unknown? Reach out and we will be more than happy to schedule a ride along so that you can see it isn't as scary as you may think. In fact, you may find it is the perfect place for you. Company vehicle w/ gas card; training provided; all with the flexibility to perform professional mobile diagnostics that service nursing homes, specialty hospitals, and home healths. Flexible schedule and on call pay, in addition to hourly based salary and holiday pay. Must be able to work independently and have a clear driving record.
Job Duties:
  • Follow instructions from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging
  • Talk the patient through the procedure and answer questions to lower their anxiety
  • Correctly position the patient, adjust the imaging equipment to the specified position
  • Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and to the patient
  • Follow correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding
  • Keep good patient records
  • Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs and placing orders
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Seeking motivated A.R.R.T., LSRT credentialed graduates of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
