Radiological Technologist I (Per Diem) page is loaded## Radiological Technologist I (Per Diem)locations: Hospital Campus - Prairie du Sac, WItime type: Variable timeposted on: Posted 6 Days Agojob requisition id: JR100397**POSITION SPECIFICS****Title:** Radiological Technologist**FTE:** Per Diem**Schedule:** Variable**Holiday Rotation:** None**Weekend Rotation:**None**On Call Requirements:**None**POSITION SUMMARY**Performs radiology procedures, including CT scans and/or mammography, at a technical level that does not require constant supervision but does require good judgment and professional expertise. Operates ionizing radiation equipment using ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed protocols related to radiology technology for the diagnosis of various diseases and injury. Assumes responsibility for coordinating procedures, quality assurance and record keeping as related to departmental policy, radiation safety and attending to the patient's needs Procedures will be performed in hospital and operating room settings.**POSITION TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES**Receive, position, and attend to patients. Abstract pertinent data from patient, family and/or patient record. Perform general diagnostic exams, including, but not limited to fluoroscopy, surgical exams, and portables. Perform other diagnostic radiology procedures, which may include CT and/or mammography, properly sets technique andprotocol to maximize exam quality.Perform EKG's and peripheral vascular studies. Understand the principles of radiation physics and maintains both patient and operator safety. Inject contrast media after receiving proper instruction. Keep equipment in working order; recognizes equipment malfunction and reports appropriate information to departmentdirector.Clean and maintain equipment. Keep inventory of supplies and restock when necessary. Critique images to ensure quality examination is submitted for interpretation. Verify images to ensure timely interpretation of examination. Assist with file room duties. Maintain strict patient confidentiality. Complete post procedure requirements and enters necessary data in Hospital information system.
