Office Assistant
The Office Assistant supports the daily operations of our childcare center while also assisting in classrooms as needed. This position requires someone who is organized, dependable, flexible, and comfortable working directly with children.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain office operations by receiving and distributing communications, correspondence, and information.
  • Answer telephone calls, assist families, take and forward messages, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain office and classroom supplies by monitoring inventory, placing orders, verifying deliveries, and stocking supplies.
  • Assist with staff schedules and classroom coverage to ensure teachers receive breaks and leave on time.
  • Work in classrooms and provide coverage when needed, including during staff breaks, call-outs, and other staffing needs
  • Interact with children in a positive, nurturing, and professional manner
  • Assist teachers with classroom routines, supervision, transitions, meals, activities, and maintaining a safe environment
  • Follow all childcare licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies while working in classrooms
  • Assist with additional administrative and classroom responsibilities as assigned.
  • Take ownership of new tasks and contribute wherever needed to support the center, children, families, and staff.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with children and families is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adjust to changing needs throughout the day.
  • Must be comfortable and willing to work directly with children of various ages.

Compensation: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
