Lead Manufacturing Excellence in a Growing, FDA-Regulated Environment

A well-established and innovative medical technology manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for manufacturing processes, production equipment, New Product Introduction (NPI), and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an engineering professional who enjoys developing people, driving operational excellence, and partnering cross-functionally to bring innovative products from development into scalable manufacturing.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and mentor a team of Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and production systems.
  • Oversee New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing validation, and design transfer activities.
  • Partner with R&D, Production, Quality, Supplier Quality, Regulatory, and Operations to ensure efficient product launches.
  • Develop and manage capital equipment plans and manufacturing investments.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and other regulated manufacturing requirements.
  • Support manufacturing automation, equipment calibration programs, and production scalability.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive Manufacturing Engineering experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong background in process engineering, manufacturing optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading NPI and design transfer from engineering into production.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, change control, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
  • Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical devices, life sciences, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
