Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a dedicated Manufacturing Tech / Wheel Cell Operator in Canton, GA. In this dynamic and engaging role, you will be responsible for operating cutting-edge production tooling, precision assembly presses, and automated conveyor systems to manufacture high-quality components. In a Manufacturing Tech / Wheel Cell Operator job youll be responsible for:

  • Operating punch presses, feeders, straighteners, conveyors, coil reels, dies, and assembly presses to produce blades and blower wheels.

  • Using micrometers, rulers, and measuring devices to inspect parts according to standard operating procedures and documenting results.

  • Changing assembly dies and die components, as well as adjusting straighteners, coil reels, and conveyor systems.

  • Interacting with shop floor computer terminals to record time, production activities, and process labeling.

  • Maintaining a safe, neat, and orderly work area while adhering to all safety rules and regulations.

What youll need:

  • A high school diploma or GED certificate (preferred).

  • Ability to stand for long periods, perform continuous repetitive motions, and operate factory machinery.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with solid people skills and a strong work ethic.

  • Proven ability to problem solve, make decisions independently, and complete daily tasks in a timely manner.

  • Reliable transportation and an understanding of the critical importance of safety and attendance.

  • Pay Rate: Starts at $18.96/hr during the initial training period (up to 4 weeks). Upon successful completion of training, working unsupervised, and maintaining good standing, pay increases to $20.36/hr + $1.00 shift differential = $21.36/hr!
