Role Overview

Executes manufacturing processes in strict compliance with cGMP, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Supports continuous improvement and quality initiatives, drafts or revises basic standard operating procedures (SOPs), troubleshoots minor technical issues, and assists with training and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing & Equipment Operations: Prepare media/buffers, assemble filtration systems, and operate CIP/SIP units, autoclaves, meters, and mixers.
  • Quality & Compliance: Follow GDP/GMP guidelines for all documentation, perform aseptic sampling, monitor critical process parameters, and maintain equipment.
  • Support & Collaboration: Participate in continuous improvement teams, receive/distribute supplies, assist with minor SOP revisions, train peers, and troubleshoot basic process issues.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: High School Diploma/GED + 1 year of related experience, OR an Associate's degree (or higher) with 0 years of experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: cGMP manufacturing principles, basic lab/pharmaceutical equipment (autoclaves, tanks, CIP/SIP), and basic chemical/biological safety.
  • Skills: Proficiency in basic math (metric/US units), strong verbal/written communication, MS Office (Word/Excel), and team collaboration.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Physical Demands: Lift up to 50 lbs, carry up to 25 lbs, and push/pull >100 lbs (with handling equipment). Stand for 8–12 hour shifts; climb ladders/stairs; bend, twist, reach, and squat.
  • Environment & Schedule: Work in cleanrooms, cold/wet environments, and confined spaces. Must adhere to strict sterile gowning rules (no makeup, jewelry, nail polish, or contact lenses).
