Weekend Warehouse Supervisor-Direct Hire Position
Summary/Objective
This position directs the activities of the employees on the manufacturing floor and ensures the safety of the manufacturing employees. This position also manages the production work schedule to ensure that products are manufactured to schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Shift Management: The candidate should have strong shift management skills, including the ability to coordinate and allocate resources efficiently during non-standard working hours.
• Communication across Shifts: The manufacturing supervisor should foster effective communication between the weekend shift and the day shift. This includes providing clear instructions, updates, and reports to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities and seamless workflow continuity.
• Time Management and Prioritization: Given the unique challenges of the weekend shift, the candidate should have excellent time management skills to ensure production targets are met and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Leads by example, including adherence to all Company work rules, procedures and policies.
• Direct and supervise the production activities of the manufacturing group
• Manage the production work schedule to ensure that products are delivered to schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and leading personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources: maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Items of safety concern are to be reported to the manufacturing manager for correction as required.
• Accomplishes manufacturing project results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Setting employee work schedules and production goals; establishing work priorities and resolving problems to mitigate schedule/budget impacts
• Implementing continuous improvement activities and projects that will increase productivity and decrease waste and inefficiencies on the shop floor
• Develops and recommends improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
• Manages training schedules for employees to increase core competencies and ensure new employee training.
• Maintains staff levels by assisting in recruiting and coordinating training for manufacturing employees.
• Monitors the department budgets and ensures that resources are properly allocated.
• Prepare and monitor all applicable reports on production, safety, and budgets
• Monitor the performance of all manufacturing employees; administers performance reviews, coaching and discipline as necessary.
• Completes tasks assigned by the Operations Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
Work is completed in a both an office and production floor environment in a manufacturing plant. Should be able to withstand heat/cold caused by the environment and equipment. Must be able to withstand loud noise and vibration. There may be exposure to heat and cold.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to touch, handle, or feel: reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand or walk.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Travel
This is a full-time position, and will support a production schedule of Friday through Sunday, 5am - 5pm, with occasional need for overtime shift coverage/turnover to meet operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications
• H.S. Diploma
• 3+ years of experience in supervisory and/or leadership in a manufacturing or related environment
• Must be able to read blueprints with a high level of expertise and communicate with technical users
• Must be proficient with computers and computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to function within working conditions and physical requirements described below

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in engineered-to-order complex manufacturing, with operational experience with Fabrication, Paint, and Mechanical Assembly
Quick notes:
This person will have to work on the morning shift 6 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Thursday (possibly on Fridays) for training with the weekend day manufacturing supervisors.
Once trained - the shift will be 5 AM - 5 PM Friday - Sunday with a flex day on either Monday or Thursday for 4 hours for a shift tradeoff with weekday team.
