Job description

The Digital Content Assistant in the WNE Marketing department plays a vital role in capturing and preserving the essence of campus life through visual storytelling. This position offers a unique opportunity for a creative and motivated student to contribute to the college's image library, social media presence, and promotional materials while gaining valuable hands-on experience in photography and videography.

Essential Job Functions:

 Collaborate with the college's Marketing Department to create visual content that showcases campus events, student activities, and academic programs.
• Assist in setting up and operating photography and videography equipment for various projects, including events, interviews, and marketing campaigns.
• Edit and retouch photos and videos to ensure high-quality and consistent visual standards.
• Organize and maintain the college's media library, ensuring easy access to a wide range of visual assets.
• Attend college events, including evening and weekends to capture candid and posed photographs that reflect the vibrancy of campus life.
 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES:

Strong passion for photography and/or videography, with a basic understanding of equipment and techniques.
• Some proficiency in photo and video editing software and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage media assets effectively.
• Creative mindset and an eye for detail to produce compelling visual content.

• Must be a current student eligible for work study funding.

  • Must be able to carry camera bag and lift camera and lens. May require standing for over an hour
