Summary of Position

An Electricianis responsible forinstalling,maintaining, repairing, and inspecting electrical systems. This role ensures all electrical workcomplies withapplicable codes, safety standards, and regulations while delivering reliable power solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints,schematicsand electrical code specifications todeterminelayout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

  • Install, examine,replaceor repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lightingfixturesand other electrical components.

  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current,voltageand resistance.

  • Ability to use a multimeter and megger.

  • Install and test switchgears, transformers, switchboard meters,regulators.

  • Repair, test and install electrical motors, and generators.

  • Troubleshoot/installelectricaland electronic control systems and other related devices.

  • May install,maintainand calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.

  • Operates all equipment, as well as performing duties normally

  • Willbe requiredtobe standingforlong periodsof time.

  • Assemble systems components as required.

  • Other work as directed.

  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.

MinimumRequirements

  • Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on electrical experience

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety standards

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals

  • Proficiencywith electrical testing equipment (multimeter, voltmeter, etc.), NFPA 70E Arc Flash.

  • Ability to follow lockout/tagout procedures and other safety protocols

  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and climb ladders.

  • Experience with electrical systemsincludingpanel boards and circuit breakers; Conduit bending and installation; Motors, transformers, and control systems

Preferred Requirements

Previous electrical training courses.

High voltage, 3 phase, 12v/24DC and soldering experience.

PLC experience.
