Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Development Representative supports growth initiatives for Sunshine Pediatric Day Center, a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center (PPECC) serving the Dallas, Texas market. This position plays a critical role in expanding referral pipelines, strengthening community partnerships, and increasing awareness of pediatric extended care services. Performance is evaluated based on referral volume, market engagement, and contribution to organizational growth objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cultivate and sustain referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, and community stakeholders.

• Educate referral sources on PPECC services, admissions criteria, and patient eligibility requirements.

• Implement community outreach strategies to elevate brand presence and service awareness throughout the region.

• Collaborate with leadership to execute business development and marketing initiatives aligned with annual growth plans.

• Identify new market opportunities while reinforcing existing referral partnerships.

• Track referrals, outreach activities, and engagement metrics using internal reporting tools and systems.

• Represent the organization at healthcare networking events, community functions, and professional meetings.

• Support patient and family engagement efforts to ensure a positive referral and onboarding experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare business development, outreach, sales, or marketing strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with PPECC, home health, or pediatric healthcare services a plus.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Reliable personal transportation required for routine regional travel.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation capabilities.

• Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities independently while partnering cross-functionally.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based platforms.

• CRM experience advantageous.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to travel routinely within the greater Dallas and surrounding areas.

• Must be able to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods during outreach activities.

• Occasional attendance at evening or weekend community and networking events may be required.

• Work is performed in a hybrid remote environment with regular field-based outreach activity.
