Job description

Cranston Hearing Center is seeking a dedicated Audiology Technician to join a trusted, hearing care team in Cranston, RI. With over 40 years of serving the local community, this practice offers stability, purpose, and meaningful patient impact.
The Audiologist Assistant/Technician provides support to licensed Audiologists/Hearing Care Providers in the delivery of hearing care services. This role involves assisting with patient preparation, service of hearing devices, and administrative tasks to ensure efficient operation of the clinic.
Job Type:Full Time, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. No Weekends.
Location: Cranston, RI
Compensation: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour

  • Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and perform adjustments of hearing aids and related devices under the supervision of Audiologist/Hearing Care Provider.
  • Instruct patients on the proper care, use, and maintenance of hearing aids and assistive devices.
  • Manage patient records, including data entry and documentation in electronic health systems.
  • Manage the service aspect of hearing devices.
  • Serve as the initial warm and welcoming point of contact for patients, whether over the phone or in person.
  • Schedule appointments and handle patient communications in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Build and maintain patient relationships.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the audiology work area.
  • Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or audiology setting is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, and move for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity to handle small devices and tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Work Environment:
