Hope Valley Country Club, located in Durham, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for Event Set-Up. Founded in 1926, Hope Valley is an elite private club featuring a classic Donald Ross designed golf course, state-of-the-art tennis facility, resort-style pool complex, and a spacious, welcoming clubhouse offering its members first-class recreation, dining, and programming. Hope Valley is ideally situated in the heart of one of Southeast's most vibrant, exciting areas.
The Event Setup Team Member is responsible for preparing event spaces throughout the club for member events, weddings, golf tournaments, banquets, and special functions. This role helps ensure all rooms and event spaces are properly set, clean, organized, and ready to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities of Event Set-Up at Hope Valley Country Club include:
Event Setup & Breakdown
  • Set up tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, buffet tables, and décor
  • Arrange rooms according to event diagrams and setup sheets
  • Break down event spaces following functions
  • Reset spaces for future events and daily club operations

Event Support
  • Assist the banquet and events team during weddings, tournaments, and club functions
  • Help ensure events run smoothly and efficiently
  • Support other departments when needed during large club events

Facility Appearance
  • Vacuum and clean banquet rooms, hallways, and event spaces
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas
  • Ensure event spaces are polished, professional, and guest-ready

Team Culture
  • Work closely with fellow team members to create a supportive and positive environment
