IDEX

Cedar Falls, IA

Full-time

Job description

If you're looking for a special place to build or grow your career, you've found it. Whether you're an experienced professional, a recent college graduate or somewhere in between, IDEX is a place where you can apply your existing skills and learn new ones in an environment where you can make an impact.

With interesting opportunities in engineering, marketing, sales, supply chain, operations, HR, finance, and more across more than 40 diverse businesses around the globe, chances are, we have something special for you.

About the Role

IDEX's Severe Duty Flow Control (SDFC) segment operates four business units - Viking Pump, Warren Rupp, Abel, and Richter. Each serves industrial customers through B2B channels. Together they are standardizing on SAP Commerce Cloud as the group-level digital platform for customer-facing commerce, product catalogs, and channel-partner portals.

The Group Platform Manager owns making that platform work at scale. You set the architecture, UX standards, vendor governance, and integration patterns that all nine BUs build on. You partner with business-unit digital leaders who own commercial outcomes - SDFC Digital owns the 'how,' business units own the 'what.

Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesSAP Commerce Cloud Ownership
  • Own SAP Commerce Cloud configuration, deployment, and operational health across all SDFC BUs.

  • Codify an existing B2B and D2C configuration as the SDFC template; onboard Tier 2 and Tier 3 BUs to that template.

  • Manage the multi-BU shared instance model - catalog separation, role-based access, BU-specific pricing and merchandising logic.

  • Partner with BU digital leaders on their roadmaps; translate requests into governed platform capabilities.

Platform Architecture & Integration
  • Own integration standards between SAP Commerce Cloud and the rest of the IDEX stack - JDE (ERP), Microsoft Dynamics (CRM), Brandfolder (DAM), analytics, authentication.

  • Coordinate with the JDE Integration Specialist to ensure product, pricing, and order data flows are clean, monitored, and recoverable.

  • Define the PIM strategy (Salsify) and lead its adoption as the product-data orchestration layer in Phase 2-3.

  • Set release governance - change control, testing standards, rollback paths - so BUs know what to expect and when.

UX Standards & Design Systems
  • Publish and maintain the SDFC design system - color palette, typography, component library, layout patterns.

  • Ensure accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) are met across all Commerce Cloud properties.

  • Prevent redundant UI development - BUs build on shared components rather than reinventing wheels.

  • Work with BU web managers to ensure their front-end implementations reference the design system.

Vendor Pod Management
  • Manage relationships with onshore and offshore development pods under defined SOWs and SLAs.

  • Run monthly vendor scorecards - cost, quality, throughput, adherence to SDFC standards.

  • Hold vendors accountable to architecture, UX, and release standards; escalate underperformance.

  • Track cost-to-deliver per feature and defect so investment is defensible and adjustable.

Data Governance
  • Own product data quality and flow across the stack - JDE as source of truth, Commerce Cloud as channel catalog, Brandfolder as asset repository.

  • Monitor integration health; surface data-quality issues before they hit customers.

  • Define data governance policies BUs operate within - who owns what, how changes propagate, what gets audited.

What You'll BringEducation and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience required.

  • 5+ years managing enterprise commerce platforms (SAP Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Commerce, Adobe Commerce, or equivalent).

  • Hands-on experience with multi-tenant or multi-instance B2B commerce deployments serving multiple business units or brands.

  • Deep knowledge of ERP integrations (JDE preferred; SAP, Oracle, NetSuite acceptable) - product, pricing, inventory, order sync.

  • Experience with DAM platforms (Brandfolder, Bynder, or equivalent) and PIM platforms (Salsify, Akeneo, inRiver preferred).

  • Track record managing onshore and offshore development vendors under SOWs and SLAs.

  • Comfort setting UX and accessibility standards and holding teams accountable to them.

Capabilities
  • Architecturally rigorous - you think in systems, not features.

  • Strong technical communicator - credible with both BU commercial leaders and offshore dev pods.

  • Governance-minded - you set guardrails that enable autonomy rather than creating bottlenecks.

  • Vendor manager - you hold vendors accountable while keeping relationships productive.

  • Quality-focused - you instrument what matters and know your numbers (uptime, error rates, MTTR, cost per feature).

  • Pragmatic - you ship incrementally rather than waiting for perfect.

Tools & Technical Skills
  • SAP Commerce Cloud (formerly Hybris) - configuration, catalog management, B2B/B2C setup.

  • JD Edwards or equivalent ERP - integration architecture and data sync.

  • APIs and middleware - REST, webhooks, orchestration layers.

  • Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar work-management and release tools.

  • Exposure to Brandfolder, Salsify, and Microsoft Dynamics is ideal.

Work Environment Requirements
  • Travel up to 10% as needed.

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, use hands to finder, handle or feel and sit for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Must have good vision, color vision and the ability to focus.

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.

  • Certain positions with IDEX Corporation and its business units require access to controlled goods and technologies subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations. Applicants for these positions may need to be "U.S. Persons," as defined in these regulations. Generally, a "U.S. Person" is a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or an individual who has been granted refugee or asylum status.

Are you ready to join a different kind of company where our people, our culture, and our commitments are centered around providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world?
