Job Description:
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Web Content Specialist to help manage and enhance our organization's digital presence. This position will work a minimum of 15 hours and up to 40 hours per week, depending on business needs and candidate availability.
In this role, you will publish weekly news stories, produce monthly digital newsletters, and ensure website content remains current, accurate, and engaging.
You will manage a web support ticket queue, complete content updates, and coordinate with the web development team to resolve technical issues and website bugs.
This position also plays a key role in maintaining and improving the user experience through page layout updates, content organization, and website enhancements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, a commitment to content quality, and a user-focused mindset are essential for success in this role.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience creating, editing, and publishing digital content for websites, newsletters, or other online platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Relations, Web Design, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience managing website content for a large or complex organization.
  • Experience writing and editing news stories, feature articles, or digital communications.
  • Experience producing email newsletters or other digital communications.
  • Knowledge of website accessibility and usability best practices.
  • Experience using web analytics tools and data to inform content decisions.
