Our busy hotel is seeking an energetic, customer-oriented maintenance engineer to ensure that all of our visitors have an excellent experience at our property. You'll be in charge of the building's maintenance and preventative programs daily to ensure people's enjoyment, health, and safety. The ideal candidate for this position will be an outstanding communicator, a team player, and, above all, someone who enjoys engaging with new people. If you're ready to get started, apply today!
Position is part-time 2nd shift, includes weekends
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the proper maintenance of all guest and public areas of the hotel in adherence to franchise and corporate standards
• Responsible for maintaining the hotel's appearance, equipment, and systems
• The technician is expected to have direct involvement with guests and employees
• This is a hands-on position that requires active, vigorous support
• Operate various tools like wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, drills, and other maintenance equipment
• Remain on-call in case of emergencies by keeping a phone on hand
• Follow all engineering safety rules and regulations
• Tend to all of the hotel's equipment and conduct preventive maintenance routines
• Collaborate with other personnel who will help you with maintenance tasks
Qualifications
• Two or more years in a related field and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• You will need 2-4 years of experience in a maintenance role
• Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent GED
• Ability to use web-based software, including facilities maintenance software preferred
• The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more is required
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary
