What are Warm Line Counselors?

Warm Line Counselors are trained individuals who provide non-crisis emotional support, active listening, and guidance to people experiencing mental health challenges or emotional distress. Unlike crisis hotlines, warm lines are for people who need someone to talk to but are not in immediate danger. Warm Line Counselors help callers manage stress, loneliness, anxiety, and other concerns by offering empathy, resources, and coping strategies. They can also refer callers to further mental health services if needed. The goal is to provide accessible support and prevent escalation to crisis situations.
