Assistant Vice President of Sales
About the Role
Rymco is looking for an Assistant Vice President of Sales who can drive sales performance through strong field leadership, clear accountability, and consistent execution.
This is a sales leadership role. The Assistant Vice President of Sales is responsible for improving results across assigned districts and stores by leading District Sales Managers, Area Retail Sales Managers where applicable, and store leadership teams.
This role reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.
The right candidate must be comfortable being in the field, close to the numbers, and direct with performance expectations. This is not a reporting-only position. This role is responsible for creating measurable improvement in sales results.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales performance across assigned districts, stores, and markets.
- Lead District Sales Managers and Area Retail Sales Managers to improve daily, weekly, and monthly results.
- Hold field leaders accountable for Gross Adds, Upgrades, Gross Profit, Cricket Protect, accessory attachment, Add-A-Line performance, and other key sales KPIs.
- Review sales reporting daily to identify wins, gaps, missed opportunities, and underperforming locations.
- Build clear action plans for districts and stores that are below goal.
- Inspect store-level sales behaviors during field visits.
- Coach field leaders on how to improve Store Manager and sales representative execution.
- Ensure sales teams are actively engaging customers and creating opportunities.
- Reinforce consistent sales behaviors, including upgrade offers, protection offers, accessory bundles, Add-A-Line conversations, and value-based selling.
- Identify whether sales gaps are caused by skill, will, leadership, or process.
- Push top-performing behaviors across multiple stores and markets.
- Challenge excuses around traffic, staffing, or market conditions when controllable sales behaviors are missing.
- Communicate sales performance clearly, including what is working, what is not working, and what needs to change.
- Create a strong sales culture built around accountability, follow-up, and measurable results.

Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.
Direct reports may include:
- District Sales Managers
- Area Retail Sales Managers, where applicable
The Assistant Vice President of Sales is responsible for ensuring assigned sales leaders are driving measurable improvement across their stores, teams, and markets.
Travel Expectations
This role requires frequent field travel across assigned districts and store locations.
Travel may be up to 80% based on business needs, sales performance priorities, underperforming markets, leadership development, and store-level execution gaps.
Field visits should be focused on sales performance, coaching, accountability, and improving execution.
Compensation
- Base Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000 annually
- Commission Opportunity: $25,000 to $40,000 annually
- Total Annual Earning Opportunity: $95,000 to $130,000
- Company vehicle provided
- Hotel provided for approved overnight travel
- Per diem provided for approved overnight travel
Required Experience
- Multi-unit sales leadership experience required.
- Wireless retail sales experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience leading District Managers, Area Managers, or multi-store sales leaders preferred.
- Proven success by improving sales results across multiple locations.
- Strong understanding of sales KPIs and how to improve them.
- Ability to read sales reports and turn data into clear action.
- Strong coaching, accountability, and follow-up skills.
- Comfortable addressing underperformance directly.
- Ability to lead through influence, inspection, and clear expectations.
- Must be comfortable with frequent travel and field-based leadership.
