Job Description

David Weekley Homes is seeking an Entry-Level Architectural Draftsperson to join the Design Services team in the Orlando Division. This role supports the development and coordination of residential home plans and construction drawings across multiple markets. The position focuses on technical drafting, cross-functional coordination, and supporting the design and construction documentation process for new home communities.

This role provides exposure to the residential development process, supporting projects from initial design documentation through construction.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and update lot-specific construction drawings for single-family and attached homes using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Prepare construction and permit drawing sets.
  • Coordinate plan updates with division teams, engineers, and internal partners.
  • Maintain and organize plan archives and documentation.
  • Assist builders and teams with plan-related questions during construction.
  • Collaborate with our international drafting team to ensure plans are accurate and up to date.
Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in architecture, architectural drafting, environmental design, or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
  • Ability to read and understand residential construction drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections, and details).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple plan updates.
