Summary:
The Vice President, National Accounts, is responsible for leading the relationship, strategy, and revenue growth for a large, national customer. This role serves as the primary point of contact between Vertical Bridge and the client and is accountable for advancing the partnership, negotiating agreements, and translating data into actionable strategy. Success in this role requires strong command of the data, the ability to build trust and rapport, effective negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the customer's business and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Leadership
  • Lead and evolve the national account strategy to drive revenue growth, partnership expansion, and long-term value.
  • Develop and maintain customer-specific account plans aligned with both customer priorities and Vertical Bridge business objectives.
  • Anticipate what lies ahead for the customer by staying ahead of industry trends, performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market dynamics, and pivot strategy as priorities shift.

Data & Performance Management
  • Maintain strong command of all account-related data, including leasing activity, pipeline, forecasts, and performance against targets.
  • Analyze leasing and development data to proactively identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends.
  • Track, measure, and communicate performance through weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting (internal and external).
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and complete reporting across all required systems and dashboards.

Relationship Management & Sales Execution
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders at both national and regional levels.
  • Lead negotiations and manage day-to-day commercial matters in a way that supports partnership while protecting Vertical Bridge's interests.
  • Collaborate closely with Regional Leasing Managers to drive execution, resolve issues, and achieve revenue targets.

Contract & Agreement Expertise
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on customer and Vertical Bridge agreements.
  • Read, analyze, interpret, and manage contract terms to ensure clarity, compliance, and value creation.
  • Provide data-driven insight into agreement performance and implications for future strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Leasing, Marketing, Development, Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, and Legal to support deal execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate internal resources to resolve issues efficiently and ensure Vertical Bridge remains responsive and aligned with customer needs.

Customer Experience & Market Insight
  • Identify and implement ideas to enhance the customer experience and strengthen the partnership.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and market shifts to proactively inform account strategy.
  • Travel regularly to engage with the customer and support relationship development.

Education & Experience

  • Strong understanding of the wireless tower industry, including leasing and development.
  • Real estate background preferred, with experience interpreting and negotiating lease agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving environment while maintaining high productivity.
  • Strong business acumen with exceptional communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and multi-task with limited supervision under firm deadlines.
  • Advanced analytical, critical-thinking, and complex problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into strategy and action.
  • Direct experience working with CRM platforms and maintaining accurate, actionable pipeline data.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to present data clearly and effectively to executive audiences.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and how account performance impacts Vertical Bridge's broader business objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
