Job description

Overview
Sporting Cascades serves as a regional hub for player development, civic engagement, and cultural identity, offering a platform for aspiring athletes throughout Oregon. Our mission is to combine elite player pathways with vibrant, fan-first experiences to build one of the most compelling and sustainable clubs in North America. Backed by a strong leadership team and guided by the values of innovation, integrity, and impact, Sporting Cascades will elevate professional soccer in the Willamette Valley and inspire a new generation of players and fans.
Role Summary
Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President of Ticketing provides executive oversight of the club's entire ticketing operation - from setting the strategic vision and revenue architecture to ensuring world-class execution across season tickets, group sales, premium seating, and single-game sales. You will define the long-term ticketing roadmap, build and lead a high-performing sales team, and serve as a key member of the club's senior leadership team. This is a foundational executive role with the opportunity to build a ticketing program from the ground up and directly shape how the club builds its fanbase and supporter experience as we embark on our inaugural USL League One season.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Revenue
  • Define and drive the overarching ticketing strategy aligned to annual revenue targets, long-term club goals, and broader organizational priorities.
  • Establish departmental KPIs, sales targets, and reporting cadences; deliver regular performance updates to the President and senior leadership team.
  • Identify new revenue streams and inventory categories across season, group, premium, and single-game sales; stay ahead of trends in ticketing, pricing, and fan engagement to position the club competitively.
  • Build and manage the department budget, forecasting revenue and allocating resources to maximize return.

Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute revenue-driving campaigns across all ticket products, personally leading engagement with the club's highest-value accounts and prospects.
  • Oversee dynamic and tiered pricing strategies that maximize both revenue and attendance.
  • Drive season ticket, group, and premium seating sales, closing high-value agreements that deliver sustainable revenue for the club.

Fan Retention & Growth
  • Own the season ticket renewal and upsell strategy; drive high retention rates and year-over-year revenue growth across the membership base.
  • Create innovative fan engagement initiatives and ensure exceptional customer service across every touchpoint of the supporter journey.
  • Direct the creation of mid-season recaps, end-of-year reports, and attendance and revenue analyses.

Team Leadership
  • Recruit, develop, and lead the ticket sales team, including direct oversight of sales staff and any future hires as the department grows.
  • Establish scalable processes and best practices for pipeline management, CRM usage, lead generation, and fulfillment tracking.

Cross-Functional & Game Day
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Partnerships, and Operations leadership to align messaging, develop integrated campaigns, hospitality packages, and in-stadium activations.
  • Represent the club at matchdays, community events, league meetings, and industry functions; host members, groups, and prospects as needed.
Qualifications, Education & Experience
  • 8-12+ years in ticket sales or revenue generation with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • 4+ years leading or building a sales team, with demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain talent.
  • Direct experience selling sports, venue, or entertainment ticketing strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the ticketing landscape (season memberships, group sales, premium seating, dynamic pricing, and emerging platforms).
  • Proficiency with ticketing systems and CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the executive presence to represent the club at the highest levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
  • Soccer knowledge strongly preferred; Spanish proficiency a plus.
  • Must be able to work home matchdays (20-25 days per year, often nights and weekends).
Equal Opportunity
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
