You'll partner closely with senior leadership to develop modern, scalable technology solutions that support growth, innovation, and data-driven decision making.

What You'll Do

As Vice President of Software Development & Data Analytics, you'll serve as a strategic technology leader responsible for advancing Harborstone's digital capabilities and enterprise data strategy.

You will:

  • Champion innovation through modern software development, cloud technologies, analytics, and AI
  • Partner with executive leadership to align technology investments with business goals and member needs
  • Build and lead high-performing teams focused on delivering scalable, secure, and impactful technology solutions
  • Develop enterprise data capabilities that transform information into actionable business insights
  • Establish governance frameworks that ensure data quality, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices
  • Drive operational excellence through automation, continuous improvement, and emerging technologies
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Technology Vision
  • Define and execute enterprise strategy across software development, data analytics, and artificial intelligence
  • Align technology initiatives with organizational priorities, digital transformation goals, and member experience objectives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology investments, innovation opportunities, and long-term technology roadmaps
  • Contribute to enterprise strategic planning, including growth initiatives, partnerships, and mergers and acquisitions
Software Development & Digital Solutions
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise and member-facing applications
  • Drive modernization through cloud-native, API-driven, and Microsoft Azure-based architectures
  • Ensure technology solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with enterprise standards
  • Promote Agile and DevOps practices that improve speed, quality, and business value
  • Lead enterprise analytics, reporting, and business intelligence capabilities
  • Oversee the development of modern data platforms, including cloud-based data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics solutions
  • Enable self-service analytics and data-driven decision making across the organization
  • Define and advance Harborstone's AI and machine learning strategy to enhance operational efficiency and member experiences
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies that create measurable business impact
Governance & Team Leadership
  • Establish and lead enterprise data governance practices, including data ownership, quality, stewardship, and access controls
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for software development, data, and analytics teams
  • Lead workforce planning, talent development, recruitment, succession planning, and performance management efforts
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field required
  • Master's degree preferred
Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in software development, data analytics, or related technology disciplines
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience at the Director level or above
  • Experience leading enterprise technology transformation initiatives
  • Financial services or credit union experience preferred
Technical Expertise
  • Microsoft Azure cloud technologies and data platforms
  • Enterprise data architecture, data warehousing, and modern analytics ecosystems
  • Business intelligence and visualization platforms such as Power BI
  • Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data governance frameworks

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $144,150 to $216,225 annually.

Placement within the range is based on experience, skills, and qualifications. New hires are typically placed below the midpoint to support internal equity and provide room for future growth and progression.
