Job description

Eclipse Advantage is seeking a dynamic VP of Operations based in the Midwest to lead our regional 3PL Cost Per Unit operations. What You'll Do: As the VP of Operations, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients' operational success while building strong relationships and identifying opportunities for growth. You’ll oversee key 3PL Cost Per Unit accounts, manage and mentor onsite teams, and align operations with client goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Satisfaction and Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, including senior management, HR, production, and safety leaders, to ensure alignment with their business goals.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess performance, address client concerns, and ensure compliance with service agreements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and proactive communication about ongoing initiatives.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee onsite teams to ensure production requirements are met efficiently and effectively. This will often include working side by side with onsite teams to ensure success.
  • Provide coaching and training to team members to foster high-performing teams aligned with client expectations.
  • Implement and oversee safety programs to minimize risks and ensure compliance.

Business Development and Growth:

  • Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for service expansion and new business.
  • Develop and execute account plans to meet growth targets, including building account budgets and identifying new revenue streams.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to pursue and onboard new clients in the region.
  • Manage the P&L for the designated region, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance data to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with budget goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work with Shared Services teams (HR, Risk Management, Centralized Services, Accounting) to address challenges and streamline operations.
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Review meetings, presenting results and action plans to drive client and company success.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Cost Per Unit industry, with expertise in operations, recruiting, or workforce management.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing client accounts in the Cost Per Unit industry.
  • 5+ years of managerial experience overseeing personnel and implementing workforce strategies.

  • Ideally you will be located in the mud west of the US.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed growth targets while delivering operational excellence.
  • Proficient in analyzing performance data to inform decision-making and drive results.
  • Able to travel as needed to support existing and new accounts.
