Job description


As Divisional Vice President, you will oversee a retail operational team managing the operations at approximately 600 stores. You will lead a team of Regional Vice Presidents. You will drive the financial and operational performance of the Division through a team of Regional Vice Presidents, District Managers and Store Teammates.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with executive team to execute an operational strategy that algins with the vision of the organization to be the leading automotive service and tire dealer in the United States by valuing each and every guest and teammate.
  • Drive financial results through relentless execution of Monro's operational playbook by delivering best in class customer service to each and every guest at our Stores.
  • Manage and grow the business, demonstrating an understanding of the marketplace, business drivers and risk, financial metrics and reports and operational opportunities.
  • Create an environment of continuous operational improvement by executing on company policies, procedures and initiatives.
  • Ensure financial objectives are met and exceeded through ownership of the Division's profit and loss statement and other financial and operational metrics.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to Regional Vice Presidents to achieve or exceed performance targets.
  • Monitor and measure execution of key business processes and provide leadership to Regional Vice Presidents on the development of action plans when performance targets are not being achieved.
  • Lead the Regional Vice Presidents through effective communications, timely feedback, positive reinforcement, establishing goals, creating development and career plans and continuously stretching performance.
  • Recruit, hire, and train operational leadership positions within the Division and oversee the recruiting, hiring and training of teammates down to the Store level.
  • Act as a liaison between Regional Vice Presidents, District Managers and Operations on strategy and business recommendations to functional departments within organization such as Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Merchandising, IT, Risk and Safety and Facilities.
  • Create a culture that is focused on providing exceptional customer service at all levels within the field organization.
  • Achieve business results through Regional Managers through coaching and accountability.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of competitor activity and analyze data to provide recommendations and strategy for acquisitions and growth within the organization.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, finance or related field preferred.
  • 10 or more years of successful, relevant business leadership experience in multi-unit retail operations.
  • Proven success in leading geographically dispersed teams.
  • Proven experience exceeding financial goals through execution of operational procedures.
  • Talent oriented individual that is focused on hiring, developing and building high performing teams that have a history of achieving operational goals.
  • Strong understanding of Profit and Loss Statements, financial report analytics and ability to translate observations into actions.
  • Customer focus with ability to drive, train and mentor teams to deliver exceptional and consistent customer service.
  • Strong organization skills managing a variety of functional areas required.
  • Analytic and strategic thinking ability.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and influence strategy at the executive level of organization and execute that strategy through effective coaching, accountability and communication through the final output of customer service to our Guests.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Travel within the Region up to 35%.
  • Valid driver's license required.
