GENERAL SUMMARY

The VP, Treasury Management Sales Consultant, is responsible for identifying, presenting and delivering treasury management solutions to established clients and prospects. ย The TMSC is responsible for sourcing core deposits and fee income associated with treasury management products and services. ย The TMSC will help mentor other Treasury Management Consultants as needed. ย The TMSC will also help commercial lenders meet or exceed assigned depository and TM goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Meet with Cathay Bankโ€™s largest clients and prospects to assess treasury management needs, discuss initiatives and recommend effective strategies.
  • Meet or exceed sales revenue goals.
  • Partner with commercial relationship managers to identify and develop treasury management solutions for clients and prospects. ย Listen to learn and give compelling reasons for ideas and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with relationship managers to develop cross-selling strategies and update Cathay Bank team members on product enhancements as appropriate.
  • Work with clients and Treasury Management Implementation and Support team to deliver a seamless transition to Cathay Bank.
  • Team up with internal partners (TMIS and Product Management team) to improve the โ€œclient experienceโ€ through continuous improvement. ย Share time, resources, and frequently seek input and feedback from others.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: ย  Bachelorโ€™s degree with major in Finance, Marketing, Business or equivalent work experience required. ย CTP preferred.
  • Experience: ย 5-7 years of Treasury Management sales experience required.
  • Skills/Ability: ย Excellent written communications skills โ€“ produce clear and understandable work materials which may include desktop procedures, instructions, written email communications, etc. ย Excellent verbal communication skills โ€“ articulates point of view effectively and ensures others understand the message. ย Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with all levels of management. ย Effective project management and organizational skills โ€“ willing to put in extra time and effort to get the job done. ย Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving skills. ย Demonstrated ability to remain productive in challenging work situations. ย Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity in an effective manner. ย Ability to travel 50% of the time within their assigned territory. ย Bilingual Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) strongly preferred.ย
