STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Salary: $80,000–95,000 full-time role

This is a great opportunity for someone with a couple of years of Staff Accounting or Junior Accounting experience or for a May 2026 Accounting graduate ready to launch their career.

Our client, a well-known and highly regarded organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This role reports directly to an experienced Controller known for being approachable, supportive, and team-oriented.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform duties related to a timely and accurate month-end close
    • Monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation of financial and operating reports, including trial balances, adjustments, and closing entries
  • Support analysis and interpretation of accounting records for management use
  • Serve as backup to the Accounts Payable bookkeeper
  • Assist with budgeting and financial analysis
  • Prepare state and federal requested reports and assist with Form 990 preparation
  • Support additional accounting projects as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (completed or graduating May 2026)
  • 3–5 years of Staff Accounting experience OR
  • Recent graduates must have relevant internships, co-ops, or volunteer accounting experience
  • Self-starter with a strong desire to learn
  • Solid Excel skills and attention to detail
