Part-Time Private Lesson Instructors (Voice – Tenor, Baritone, Bass)
Berkeley Preparatory School’s Conservatory of Music is seeking qualified part-time instructors to teach private, on-campus, piano lessons to tenor, baritone, and bass voice students.
The ideal candidate for any instructional positions must be committed to inspiring and guiding our eager young musicians and will meet the minimum responsibilities and requirements listed below.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide weekly individual instruction to students ranging from sixth-grade singers through advanced levels, including All-State caliber musicians.
  • Tailor lessons to meet the needs of each student, fostering technical growth, musicality, and independent musicianship.
  • Communicate regularly with students, families, and ensemble directors to support overall student development.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment that inspires students to achieve their full potential.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in vocal pedagogy and health.
  • Prior experience teaching private lessons to students of varied ability levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualities:
  • Experience preparing students for auditions (e.g., All-State, musical and staged productions, college entrance).
  • A collaborative spirit and interest in contributing to a thriving school music community.
