Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize Microsoft Teams Voice and Unified Communications solutions.
  • Configure, administer, and support Ribbon Session Border Controllers (SBCs) for Microsoft Teams Direct Routing.
  • Participate in technical discussions with stakeholders to define and implement communication solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance on architecture, deployment, migration, and change management activities.
  • Develop roadmaps for Microsoft Teams Voice and collaboration platform enhancements.
  • Perform performance assessments and recommend optimization strategies.
  • Configure and support complex Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes (MACDs), bulk provisioning, and site migrations.
  • Integrate Microsoft Teams with third-party voice, telephony, and collaboration platforms.
  • Troubleshoot complex voice, signaling, routing, and connectivity issues across enterprise environments.
  • Support functional testing, failover testing, and disaster recovery validation.
  • Create technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with project teams, service desk, network operations, and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and implement enhancements.
  • Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to internal teams when required.
  • Support problem management, change management, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Teams Voice or Unified Communications environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice and Direct Routing.
  • Expertise in configuring and managing Ribbon Session Border Controllers (SBCs).
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams architecture, migrations, deployments, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of SIP, VoIP, telephony protocols, and voice networking.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies.
  • Experience supporting enterprise voice migrations and platform integrations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Microsoft Teams Phone deployment and administration.
  • Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration.
  • PowerShell scripting for Teams administration and automation.
  • Call quality analysis and performance optimization.
  • Experience with enterprise change management processes.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, and load balancing.
  • Microsoft Teams or Microsoft 365 certifications are a plus
