Job description

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Lead Voice Engineer to provide support for the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) support task order, which provides Command, Control, Communications (C3) services for multiple critical U.S. Government missions via multiple Air to Global Information Grid (GIG) Gateways (A2G2’s) supported by a Systems Integration Lab (SIL).

This is a full-time position located on-site at Joint Base Andrews (JBA) in Andrews, MD.

*** This position is contingent upon contract award.***


  • Provide Voice Engineer Tier 2 support to Senior Leader Command, Control, Communications Systems-Airborne (SLC3S-A) Operations, Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Operations, Air Force Global Strike Command’s (AFGSC) E-4B aircraft, also known as the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC), and U.S. Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft.
  • Provide Voice Engineer Tier 2 support to EACN Air to GIG Gateways (A2G2s), EACN Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), and the Government Security Operations Center (GSOC).
  • Administer Cisco VoIP system to include call manager, Cisco Unity, Instant Message and Presence, and Teleconference bridges. Contractor shall maintain Cisco Unified Border Elements, Session Border Controllers, Ribbon VX 900 devices, and other network devices that use Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) to connect system to external voice systems.
  • Administer SIP connections between the EACN VoIP network and other customer networks, including Asterisk networks, Call Manager Express, Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), and other Cisco VoIP networks.

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen 
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a TS/SCI level clearance 

Certifications:

  • DoDD 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Education: Bachelor's Degree 
Years of Experience: Eight (8) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include five (5) years of DoD experience
Additional Experience:

  • SolarWinds software suites 

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications: CompTIA Network Plus (Network+)

Education: Master's Degree 
Years of Experience: Six (6) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include five (5) years of DoD experience
