Sales Coach & Trainer


Location: Memphis, TN (Hybrid)


About the Opportunity


We are partnering with a growing sales consulting and coaching organization to hire an experienced Sales Coach & Trainer. This hybrid role combines business development, coaching, consulting, and training, giving you the opportunity to build client relationships while helping sales professionals and leaders improve performance.


You'll be responsible for developing new business, delivering one-on-one coaching, facilitating workshops, and partnering with clients to strengthen their sales effectiveness. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys consultative selling, relationship building, and developing others.


Key Responsibilities


Business Development

  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, outbound prospecting, and client meetings.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through closing.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral partners and strategic contacts.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand client challenges and recommend appropriate coaching and training solutions.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline using Salesforce or a similar CRM.


Coaching & Training

  • Deliver one-on-one coaching to sales professionals, business owners, and sales leaders.
  • Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual sales training programs.
  • Support consulting engagements through sales observations, interviews, ride-alongs, and sales process assessments.
  • Help clients improve prospecting, relationship selling, objection handling, pipeline management, time management, and sales leadership skills.


Client Success

  • Build long-term, trusted relationships with clients.
  • Deliver high-quality coaching and training that drives measurable business outcomes.
  • Balance coaching responsibilities with ongoing business development activity.
  • Effectively manage your own schedule and priorities while working independently.


What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience with a strong understanding of the full sales cycle.
  • Experience delivering instructor-led training, coaching, facilitation, or sales enablement programs.
  • Proven ability to prospect, develop new business, and build lasting client relationships.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Comfortable coaching both individual contributors and sales leaders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and business writing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
