WealthCounsel brings together the best - the best drafting software and legal tools, the best educators, the best support staff, and the best collegial community - to cultivate the growth and success of its member attorneys and their clients. We recently added another "best" to our toolbelt when we were awarded the 2025 Best Place to Work in the Cloud. We're committed to fostering a positive work environment that is backed up by competitive benefits (see below) and a culture of collaboration. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a motivated and driven Estate Planning Practice Success Coach to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Practice Success Coach supports WealthCounsel member engagement and retention by providing coaching, education, training, content, and practical resources designed to help estate planning attorneys build successful law practices and fulfilling legal careers.

As a Practice Success Coach, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide one-on-one and group coaching, training, and educational programming for WealthCounsel member attorneys and their staff on topics such as marketing, client acquisition, law firm operations, workflow development, and other practice management matters.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of Learning to design and implement programs, content, and resources that help attorneys build, manage, and grow their practices.
  • Develop programming addressing marketing, client acquisition, business development, referral relationships, staffing and leadership, financial management, profitability, client experience, technology adoption, business succession, and related topics.
  • Collaborate with other Practice Success coaches and Learning faculty to identify educational needs, develop curricula, recruit and coordinate speakers, and teach webinars, workshops, and other training programs.
  • Develop, curate, write, and edit practical content and resources addressing law firm growth, practice management, legal marketing, and member needs.
  • Create member-facing, lead-generating, and consumer-facing content, including articles, blog posts, newsletters, Quarterly magazine contributions, course materials, and content for WealthCounsel websites.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, members, prospective members, affiliates, partners, contractors, and subject-matter experts regarding courses, writing projects, and resource development.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, partners, affiliates, and subject-matter experts to develop and deliver WealthCounsel programs and resources. As assigned by the Executive Director of Learning, oversee external relationships, project timelines, and deliverables.
  • Teach substantive legal programs for attorneys who are new to or transitioning into trusts and estates, as well as other substantive legal and practice management programs as assigned.
  • Monitor member needs, practice management developments, and emerging industry trends to recommend relevant programs, tools, and resources.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Travel domestically on an occasional basis.

Here's what you'll need to be successful in this role:

  • Juris Doctor degree and active or previously active attorney licensure.
  • Five to ten years of experience practicing law, preferably in estate planning, trusts and estates, or elder law.
  • Two to five years of experience owning, managing, or growing a law practice.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or advising attorneys or other professionals on practice growth, business development, or professional development.
  • Experience teaching substantive legal topics and developing or delivering programs or written content concerning legal marketing, law firm management, estate planning, or related topics.
  • Excellent writing, editing, presentation, facilitation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise and manage the workflow, timelines, and deliverables of outside contributors, including writers and speakers.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated interest in using technology, including emerging tools and artificial intelligence, to improve law firm operations, client service, education, and attorney productivity.
  • Experience as a WealthCounsel member is preferred but not required.

Work Environment and Company Benefits:

This is a virtual, full-time position. You will work remotely from your home office, and occasional travel may be required for meetings, trade shows and training.
