Excelon Associates is recruiting a self-directed Regional Recruitment Manager to lead student recruitment, partnership development, and market growth across the Americas for a well-established international university. Based on the West Coast, this person will expand the institution's regional presence and serve as the link between its central operations and its growing footprint throughout the United States and the wider region.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and market development
  • Build and execute the recruitment and market development strategy for the Americas, including annual regional recruitment and marketing plans.
  • Identify new recruitment, partnership, and business development opportunities, and create action plans to capitalize on emerging markets.
  • Raise the institution's visibility and reputation in priority markets.
Recruitment and conversion
  • Generate inquiries, applications, deposits, and enrollments against institutional targets.
  • Manage prospective students from first inquiry through confirmed enrollment, with prompt and consistent follow-up.
  • Support applicants through the application, offer, deposit, and enrollment stages with a high level of customer service.
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend recruitment events, conferences, and school and college visits across the Americas and internationally.
Partnerships and agent network
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community colleges, schools, universities, sponsoring organizations, and strategic partners.
  • Support transfer agreements, articulation pathways, and student mobility opportunities.
  • Recruit, train, and manage agents, counselors, and in-country representatives, and expand the partner network across priority markets.
  • Make sure partners understand the institution's programs, admissions processes, and progression routes.
Presentations and virtual engagement
  • Present programs to students, parents, schools, agents, and partners in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Develop and run regional virtual recruitment events, information sessions, and partner training.
Reporting and market intelligence
  • Collect and communicate regional market intelligence and competitor information.
  • Report regularly on recruitment activity, pipeline performance, and progress against KPIs and enrollment targets.
  • Keep applicant, partner, and pipeline data accurate in the CRM.
Budget and performance
  • Assist with regional budget planning and monitor recruitment expenditures.
  • Evaluate the ROI of recruitment and marketing activities and adjust strategy based on performance data and market conditions.
Collaboration
  • Work within a matrixed environment alongside admissions, marketing, academic departments, and international recruitment teams, keeping all activity aligned with institutional objectives.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as the institution's recruitment strategy evolves.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing international student recruitment, sales, or business development strategies, including annual recruitment and marketing plans.
  • Track record generating inquiries, applications, deposits, and enrollments, and managing market-specific recruitment activity.
  • Experience with market planning, event coordination, inquiry management, and applicant conversion.
  • Strong background in international education, student recruitment, enrollment management, sales, or partnership development.
  • Solid understanding of the US education system, along with student decision-making, transfer pathways, and community college partnerships.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a geographically dispersed team.
  • Goal-oriented and results-driven, able to manage competing priorities and meet challenging targets under deadline pressure.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills, with close attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Americas and internationally, with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with established CRM systems and maintaining accurate recruitment and pipeline data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Microsoft Teams.
  • Working knowledge of reporting and BI platforms such as Power BI, with the ability to interpret data and guide future activity.
  • Comfort delivering virtual presentations and using digital engagement and event platforms.
  • Ability to prepare accurate reports, forecasts, activity plans, and market updates.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing marketing campaigns that support international recruitment.
  • Experience working with community colleges, pathway providers, international schools, counselors, or agents.
  • Experience developing institutional partnerships, transfer pathways, or articulation agreements.
  • Experience with sponsoring organizations or government education bodies.
  • Knowledge of international student visa, immigration, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or a comparable CRM.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish, French, or another language commonly spoken in the Americas.
